Oh no! What happened?

To His Tiny Followers...

Leroy really enjoyed having Bennet and Ruby visit while he was in town.  He tried to show off by doing flips off the Christmas tree (although his jammies got caught on the way down and he just kind of spent the evening face down two levels below where he started).  They thought it was pretty funny. Today, they are heading to see their Nana and Baba...He will miss them.  Leroy got up really early to write them this sweet message.

R2D2

Last month Auntie was talking to Bennet's Mama (aka my sistah) and Bennet wanted to talk to Auntie also...

Auntie:  Hi, Benny!
Bennet:  Hi!
Auntie:  Mama said you had something to tell me.
Bennet:  Yes...for Chistmas, I want R2D2 pants.
Auntie: Oh, ok...I can make (pause because sweet Benny was still talking)
Bennet: and R2D2 shirt and and R2D2 shoes please...Thank you!  Love you, here is Mama.

Auntie Thoughts:  (uh-oh, I thought she was just going to ask for pants.  All I have are jammie pants pattern.  Think, Think, Think...).

A week goes by...no R2D2-only fabric, only Star Wars character block fabric. This will do but I have to check with Benny. She gives a thumbs up. Thank goodness.  Light bulb came on...got some Wonder Under and some metallic silver shoes.  Wah-la!

BTW - She loved it all!!!

Day 4 and Day 5

Leroy Elf

This year we welcome Leroy Elf. He arrived this past Monday.  We found him sitting in the light above the kitchen table.  A little late in joining the pre-holiday festivities since he took an extended vacation in Bermuda...as you can see from his awesome tan.

Yesterday, he hung out above the kitchen island watching us make some fried wontons and steamed wontons.

Today, he must have gotten bored down here, so he ventured upstairs to make some friends. :)

Our Sweet Nieces are Now 2 and 4!

How fast they grow!  And how quick they learn!  I am so proud of them.  I want to start with a pic I pulled off my sister's blog.  Benny is amazed with playing doctor.  This is a pic of one of her patients, Baby Cole, who had diarrhea - she fixed it . . . .fantastic, eh? 

 

Sweet Ruby loves to pretend to be a doctor, too!  So for their birthdays, I sewed them some scrubs - hat and all.  There's a pic below with Bennet and a new patient using the common cure of Hello Kitty lip gloss.  He he he! 

 

 

Also Benny had a special cake request . . . like the Brobee cake on Yo Gabba Gabba, except of herself.  I love this girl!  Please keep in mind Auntie does not do well with making people or people faces.  :)  I tried my best and she seemed to enjoy it, which makes my heart happy. 

 





What a great birthday party!  Auntie "Jim" (as Benny likes to call me) and Uncle John had a great time.  Thank your for inviting us!  We love you!

 

 

 

Long time, no post! :(

Oh my!  Has it really been almost a year and a half since I posted?  This is so bad.  So generally, I do not make new year's resolutions, but maybe I should and put "blog more" as one of the items.  Or not.  Hmmm . . . let's see what I have to post since my last one.  The nieces are now over 1 1/2 and 3 1/2.  Craziness!  They have grown so much and are absolutely beautiful! And sweet!  And smart! And just so darn fun to be around!  As far as crafts for them go, I have made some cake pops for their last birthday and then a pillow poof; however, I think the pillow poof was not very well made and had lots of seams so it may be bleeding some polyester right now.  I will have to remember to pick it up and do some mending and re-inforcement of the seams.  That's all I can think of, although I know that I have purchased lots of supplies in the last year that are chillin' in my closet pending some free time.  Enjoy the pics!
